Sea Turtles and dozens of other Sea Life mistaken plastic and various other types of garbage as food, snacking on the waste. When these Sea Creatures ingest rubbish, it causes blockages within their digestive system and eventually kills the animal. Data shows that Americans use more than 380 BILLION plastic bags and wraps each year, not even counting the other types of waste that is contaminating our Ocean. 

What Can We Do To Help?

• Stop using plastic straws! Bring a reusable straw with you everywhere you go, not only are you saving the environment and poor Sea Creatures, but overall you're saving money!

• Use a reusable produce bag. A single plastic bag can take 1,000 years to degrade, think about when you go shopping and how many bags you use! Purchase or make your own reusable produce bag, don't forget to wash them! 
• Use a reusable bottle! Hydro Flasks are a great option, they are durable and great for the environment!
• Use matches instead of reusable lighters, or invest in a reusable metal lighter, this tip also saves you $$$!
